Work vs College [Poland edition]

Hi after a long time. I don't have much time because of sports and work routines, but I would love to discuss the college issue today. Warning.

This experience differs in the USA. In Poland 100% accurate

I was never a nerd but always man of passion. At high school I made arduino robot by founded tutorials.

I love to develop myself and change myself to better especially now. Currently I do 30km+gym/50-75km daily on bike and I am very proud of that. I change myself to the limits so I dont have any time left outside of one hour maybe

But every college in Poland is 💩💩💩 A mass of hypocrisy. Uneducated professors. They don't teach anything important and they confuse everything They teach so that You can't understand it. And of course a lot of money to spend monthly. I dont care like I did before. I cheated for 2 years straight becouse this college is a joke. Everything I earned I did by myself. I didnt get into bootcamp, paid courses or anything like that. I learned all programming from Youtube and I am proud of that. It shows that a lot of knowleadge is free online and only your imagination stops you from reaching it.

And now I am at Tinder. I can tell You one simple thing that make everyone choose some college. Imagine some high school brat named John. In Poland there is 'gold rush' for amazing developer salary. So there is a lot of colleges that offers learning in that path. Usual stuff But here what happens after 4 years of college in Poland. John have created some calculators in java swing, maybe small page using HTML and CSS. Max 3 similar projects more and thats it. John tries to apply to some IT jobs but get rejected like trash. He tries to join some "Work for Juniors in IT" group especially this one

He will get named troll or peacfully explained that his projects is worthless and he need to learn a lot more. There are 2 options for John. 90% of IT students -> give this idea away and do something else. Something basic for now and stay at that job for next 50 years. 10% -> Accept reality and find a passion in IT. His future carreer

% ratio may differs but It should be similar.

College at Poland dont teach anything. I learned more english watching Tv series "Chuck" as a Kid than there. I may quit /change college becouse I dont see how I need this situation. I am only there becouse my parents wouldnt pay for my dorm/living If I didnt go to college.

Here the truth - You will get nothing not carrying on your own. I know similar histories since I was 13yo and I knew that I had to do everything on my own. And I really love it what I done. Currently my life is perfect at least for now -Family healthy ✔️ -Work at West ✔️✔️✔️ -Gym / Ride bike a lot ✔️✔️✔️ I know that Tinder job offer is a blessing and gift but outside of that Everything I get by hard work and I love this process.
